can someone get arrested and prosecuted for working at a medical marijuana dispensary?
*assuming that they follow all the laws under california law and do not distribute to non-patients
*also im not talking about the owners of the dispensary, just the employees such as security guard, receptionist, budtender etc.
*i am aware that the FEDS STILL CONSIDER THIS ILLEGAL
*what could they be charged with? penalties?
thanks in advance, doing research for an article
The reality is that yes, they can be arrested by the feds for distributing a controlled substance. Its not fair, but its a fact that it can happen.
Under federal law, possibly.
The governor is obligated to muster the National Guard in such situations, and reinforce them with the rest of the militia: us.
The anti-Federalists never trusted and never wanted the “well regulated [fully trained and equipped] militia” (now called the National Guard); but the Federalists convinced them it could defend it’s state against domineering federal authority. That’s why the anti-Federalists put the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights they demanded; and directed us therein to keep military arms for fighting against, or with, that guard, as necessary.
Obviously, this situation is exactly the kind of situation the state guards — along with a few million of us, and the military arms we were charged to “keep and bear” — were intend to battle. Unfortunately, the governor’s a weeny and so are too many Californians, even if they did keep the weapons they were intended to have (light, contemporary military arms).
Yes, I know. You don’t like a lot of that, therefore it must not be true. What you like is good and true. What you don’t like is bad and false. Not only are you too cowardly to fight for your own freedom, you are afraid of harsh reality; so you pretend something less scary.
The feds have already arrested and imprisoned one man who was specifically licensed by the state of California to produce it for medical use. The federal government is much like the Mafia; it does what it wants until it’s forced to do otherwise, regardless of the law.
No, in the case of one medical marijuana dispensary that was raided by the DEA. The DEA took all of the marijuana, client info, and computers but was forced to return the premises and the dispensary was able to go back into business, because they were doing was totally legal under California law. The security guard they had there did not let the DEA in at first until they brought a warrant, which they did not let the dispensary see (which they have the legal right to do). The security guard was not charged with anything because all he was doing was his job.
