The issue before the African American community is whether decriminalizing, regulating and then taxing marijuana in the name of protecting our civil rights is a reasonable and justified solution to reducing the numbers of African Americans in the criminal justice system? @diablito118 I’m a fan of 19 or 20 (now that may be because I’m tired of waiting as a 19 year old) but at least that way you keep it out of high schools, because college is just a clusterfuck and there is no hope for de-alcoholizing there haha

we spend hundreds of thousands of tax dollars fighting cannabis. then we arrest minor offenders for drug abuse that they then fill the prisons of america that allows murderers and bank robbers to go free earlier because of overflow. or we can legalize it and make hundreds of thousands of dollars for taxing it and reduce the amount of youth filling our prisons. its your choice america.

And also to the preacher with false information, if it is much more dangerous than cigarettes, then why do doctors recommend weed, and not cigarettes? If any of what the proponents of cannabis prohibition say were true, then the illegalization of alcohol would bring 1000x more benefit to a community then the possible benefit gained from keeping cannabis illegal… Yet, despite them supposedly wanting whats best for society, they never say anything about how alcohol should be illegal, and when asked, those who answer, say they would not make it illegal again due to the same issues that are currently infesting the illegal cannabis industry.
@Spliffer45 Furthermore as the nurse was saying the cannabinoids found in cannabis have extreme anti-carcinogenic properties. So recap… Much less total chemical carcinogen POTENCY in cannabis (because thats what matters, its affinity for causing cancer, not a mole count). Zero radioactive metals (which account for 60%+ of all tobacco caused lung cancers). And the active chemical THC (found in 20%+ in todays pot) and other cannabinoids are some of the most potent ANTI-carcinogens on earth.
Cannabis has higher concentrations of some chemical carcinogens, but these carcinogens found in higher concentrations are of the least potent ones. The most potent carcinogens related to tobacco smoke are in MUCH lower concentrations in cannabis. Furthermore chemical carcinogens only account for 40% of the tobacco induced lung cancers, the vast majority are caused by radioactive metals (radio active carcinogens not chemical carcinogens) found in commercial fertilizers used on tobacco.
