I believe if its legal, it would be a much simpler and cheaper way of bringing down the black market for it, and we can stop wasting billions of dollars trying to cease it. And not to mention the massive amounts of money and jail space wasted on non-violent marijuana criminals. What do you think?

Never because if legalized it becomes a product that is in direct competition with liquor and beer. They ( liquor and beer companies) have lobbyists whom have the ear of the legislators.

That’s awful presumptive of you. Even if a Democrat wins the presidency in 2008, he or she would have very little to do with drug laws, only their enforcement through the DEA, FBI, Coast Guard, Border Patrol, etc. Not to mention most Democrats aren’t any more realistic on the War on Drugs than Republicans. Regardless, you’ll have to take that up with Congress, the 50 state legislatures, and local law enforcement entities. Good luck.
