Technically it might be legal in your state, then again it might not. The thing is if LEA wants to nail you, there is always something they can get you on. They will find some technicality to get you on if they want to regardless of what is legal and not.
Its kind of like driving a car, there is always something a cop can pull you over for. You might think you are driving perfectly but they can always come up with some slight flaw to pull you over for.
There is bound to be shops in your area which sell such items. go there-much safer than buying something online.
if the bong maker is within the same country as you’re in then you should be able to do it… if they didn’t find a way to make it legal then they wouldn’t have e-commerce set up for it… all pipe shops get away with selling the pipes and bongs b/c they claim their products are for selling tobacco and that they can’t help what people use it for…
Water pipes are not illegal. They made for smoking tobacco and tobacco pipes are not illegal…yet.
If you call it a bong then it means that you are intending to use it for illegal purposes…which makes it illegal. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve had to kick out of my old store because they refused to use the proper terminology.
Personally if you’re not able to get to a headshop to purchase a water pipe I would suggest being creative and making one for yourself. But if you want to order one just make sure the company you’re ordering from is legit. I know in PA it’s not illegal to receive water pipes through the mail because I used to own a head shop 10 years ago and used to get hundreds of them shipped to me. A close friend of mine still owns his head shop and still gets them through the mail….of course the laws in your state may be different though.

just go to the market and buy a bong or make a homemade one

Most headshops don’t ship because they don’t want to lose their DEA license. I say most, because some will, but they sure won’t say that on their website. You’d almost have to cultivate a relationship with them first so they can trust you.
http://www.everyonedoesit.com IS legitimate, but since they’re overseas, they will not guarantee that customs agent won’t open the box once it arrives in the States, and then sieze your water pipe. And they clearly can’t reimburse you in that case. We’ve ordered a Roor accessory and received it undamaged and within the time frame that they said it would take to get here.
It is true that glass artists and shops ship glass back and forth all the time. The problem is that no one will advertise this; you almost have to know someone.
Where we live, we have to drive at LEAST an hour for a head shop; we have to drive 2 hours for a good headshop, and we’ve actually driven 8 hours to go to a premium headshop, and we’ll do it again rather than mess around with having something shipped.
