If a background check is done, can they find my juvenile record?
Im going to college to become a pharmacy technician, but before i can recieve my license, a background check has to be done. I had a marijuana ticket when i was 17 but at that time i was a minor. Now im 19 years old, can that record still be available through a background check and if found can it be used against me? I called the courthouse and they couldent find any record under my name.
ya they last 4 yrs i think
Only the feds can dig into juvenile records and that is only in the case of clearances. Otherwise juvenile records are sealed once the person has reached the age of 18 and has has not added any more misdemeanors to that record as an adult.
no sir, everything is gone once your 18
The people telling you your record is erased after you turn 18 are GUESSING. This is completely false.
The only way your record is sealed or expunged at 18 is by getting a lawyer before you turn 18 and having it done. It’s not automatically done like these clueless idiots claim. So yes, they WILL see your pot ticket from when you were 17.
Remember 90% of the people here are passing off bad guesses as answers.
