Yes on Prop 19: Tax and Control Cannabis (part 2)
Arguments in favor for Proposition 19, the initiative to legalize and tax cannabis. Including a short history, unjust morality, and scientific reasoning. “…in the sense that marijuana use typically precedes rather than follows initiation of other illicit drug use, it is indeed a “gateway” drug. But because underage smoking and alcohol use typically precede marijuana use, marijuana is not the most common, and is rarely the first, “gateway” to illicit drug use. There is no conclusive evidence that the drug effects of marijuana are causally linked to the subsequent abuse of other illicit drugs.” -Janet E. Joy, Marijuana and Medicine: Assessing the Science Base.
God job! Do you consider informing the public by handing out leaflets or sth. like that? P.19 seems very important to me. I wish we had sth. like that here in Germany where we inherited those stupid prohibition laws!
If you have good ideas for leaflets please let me know and send me a message.
Please do not let this chance go to waste! Fight for it! Become an infowarrior!
Alcohol is sooooooooooo much worse. I have seen alcoholics have the DTs and almost die from just withdrawaing. And marijuana? Yes, maybe some laziness. Maybe some chip eating. Alcohol? Maybe some driving into your kid or parent and killing them. Yes. And alcohol is legal? Wow. We made a huge mistake.
There are no good statistics on alcohol consumption during prohibition, but there are statistics on usage before and after. In that regards there is much more alcohol consumed now than before prohibition. So there is no logic in trying to insinuate legalization wouldnt affect the amount of users.
Cops fight crime, not drugs. They would still work.
Only DEA would be affected by hunting other drugs.Just like they did in the 80s Miami when the Marijuana market collapsed and Cocaine was introduced.
@818playain714 Are you referring to Section 4:C ? If u are then I think ure making a mountain out of a mole hill. The jail time is up-to 6 months and/or a fine up-to $1000 for knowingly giving someone under 21 but over 18 cannabis. The jail time for less than 18 is measured in years not months. Basically what it means is if you know he/she is only 19 and you give them a joint then u get a 1k fine &/or goto jail for 6 months. If you can prove that u thought they were over 21 you are in the clear.
more people should be aware of this we should amke a movement
@818playain714 Let’s hope.
When the bill first came out, I was all for it. I told everyone to vote yes. Then I
read the bill, and changed my mind. This is not what we want.
@purpledream77 yup you rite on point these other people cant see that prop 19 can actual decrease the tax revenue the government makes most clubs and clinics are gonna close shop seeing how you can face jailtime and 1000$ fine just for supplying a patient 18-21 years old its so dumb honestly i hope for all us cali smokers sake that the state is wise enough to vote no otherwise this will be known more as a tragedy for the green state of cali more than legalization
@818playain714 Yupp. These fucking loser kids.
I actually read the bill, its not too long.
These kids don’t read. They listen to the news “It will help raise money for our bankrupt state”.
Stfu with that shit. The gov’t in ca is crooked and the money from the bud wouldn’t go to what it really needs to go to anyway.
guys if ur 18 vote dont automatically assume itl get legalized look at the gay marriage thing
soo i’m trying hard to find vids against this…
cant really find one
btw nice bed
@qutuv2 thank you finally someone with some sense the media is using all this bullshit propaganda to try to make it seem like prop 19 will be legalization it is far from it all these dumbass kid stoners tho think its all fun and arent actually reading into what this will do to both the mmj communtiy and recreational smokers have you also heard there limiting any growers space to a 5×5 foot area this will cause many growers to jus stop growing all together if not jus grow for their personal use
Great video: but
Read Prop 19:
Prop 19 has provisions that are concerning to this poster and California NORML
Prop 19 if passed will substantially increase existing penalties for adults giving
marijuana to youths aged 18-21. Prop 19 would make it an offense punishable by $1,000 fine and six months for anyone 21 or over to give or share marijuana with someone aged 18-20,
Prop 19 Changes the law, Making it Illegal to drive while smoking, even if you are not inpared while driving.
Pass that Joint go to Jail.
First, it would disallow marijuana smoking in “any space where minors are present” the initiative also bans smoking in public or “a public place. By the same token, cops could cite pot smokers at any concert, dinner or event where kids under 21 were present. Sharing marijuana with a person aged 18-21. is also a offense punishable by $1,000 and six months in Jail.
