7 days ago i took two long drags of old marijuana from a hookah at a friends and i have NOT smoked weed in over a year and just as my luck would have it, I have a drug test for a new job in a few days.. Will I have problems passing the test?

If you smoke dope it will stay in your system for about a month. Sometimes a week shorter or a week longer.
about 30 days but since your system has been clean for so long and you only took two hits maybe it’ll clean a little sooner, just drink alot of water and cranberry juice
Depends on the type of test, but yeah you’ll have problems. Best thing to do is clean your system out and hope it’s a piss test. Drink as much water as you can stomach and exercise; the sweat and frequent bathroom breaks should help at least a little. There’re also water pills out there that are used for cleaning your system, though I’m not 100% sure they work. Couldn’t hurt to try though.
If your story is indeed factual, you MAY have a fighting chance. I had a similar situation and surprisingly ended up getting the job. I drank a lot of water.. the cranberry juice thing isn’t really credible, just drink water.
If it’s a hair or bite test, there’s a not-so-remote chance that they’ll pick it up, especially since it was so recent. Fortunately most are using the goold old urine test.
At this point it’s not worth it to try to adulterate the sample, or take this or drink that before, as some of your ‘friends’ might suggest. You could go through the trouble of using someone else’s urine, or synthetic urine, but that’s too much of a logistical nightmare for me, I’d screw it up.
At this point, remember that you can almost always get an extra day or two by drinking more than you normally would, peeing a few times beforehand, and then showing up with really diluted, clear urine. This probably isn’t a bad idea. Pretend you’re unaware of why they’re telling you to come back, and then the next time, this sample will have to have some color to it. But still, try to get it somewhat diluted before the next one. Never give them your first pee of the day.
(Right, above.. forgot, exercise will raise your metabolism and get what little is in there out faster. Also, you process most of the THC metabolites in your sleep… so, seriously, get extra sleep until you take the test as well, this will also help. (Of course this will HINDER a hair test because your hair grows in your sleep so keep this in mind.. =))
