Can K2 – Herbal Incense – Spice – JWH 018 cause a psychotic episode when used with other drugs?
A family member of mine, who used to smoke marijuana, has been smoking ‘Herbal Incense’ for a couple of months. He decided to switch to it because it is less risky to purchase (currently legal in my state) while marijuana illegal. He has also been on anti-depressants for years.
Recently, he left his wife and two young sons without any warning whatsoever. He has been gone nearly a week. He said he was going out for a couple hours, and never returned. We know he is alive because we have tracked his credit card purchases. However, his cell phone and wallet (minus his credit card and drivers license) were found on the side of a road.
I am wondering it there is a possibility that drug interaction between JWH 018 (the active ingredient in herbal incense that is synthetic THC) and anti-depressants may have caused a psychotic episode. I know that JWH 018 has barely been tested for drug interaction. My family member has never before shown any signs of wanting to leave his family or be on his own.
JWH-018 as you know has not been tested for a many things… as a matter of fact, very little in general in even known about JWH-018. It very well may have some type of interaction with anti-depressants, but so little is known about it at this point that nobody will be able to give you a straight answer.
