i’ve smoked marijuana for a few years now and i’m deffinatly a changed person from it. but in a good way i think. i’m a lot more relaxed and easy going now. i don’t get as angry as easily or start as much fights as i used to, i’m a lot more humble now, i like to read! and marijuana made me interested in reading. i think i have become a lot smarter and better person because of marijuana. i know not everyone is going to be effected the same way i was, but that’s what it did for me.
@Dahfonz dude the only thing that is written poorly is the term “space” when smoking around kids. but if your in your house whos going to know. the cops arent going to be coming in to check if you are smoking a joint in front of your kid. it doesnt add anything felonies if you sell or give to a kid which your an idiot if you do its 6 month in jail and 1000$ fine because passing a joint is traficking. besides if this passes there was be no reason for mmj since its legal.
C what drinkingwithbob says
Well I think should be legal.
But I will vote against legalizing it, because of a few reasons.
First off, the bill is very poor written, it also adds two felonies to the ridiculously huge list of already existing pot laws. Second, it takes away the rights of the mmj patients to grow their own medicine for personal use. Which is blasfomy, and it gives pretty much all growing, selling and trafficking powers to the gov, and Richard Lee (the creator of the bill also founder of Oaksterdam Univ)
if its leagalized im going to california for my next vacation and get some of that cali weed and smoke myself stupid
@skyding8962 ignorance is bliss eh?
@skyding8962 go ahead and vote against ur freedom
i really dont care. people are gonna smoke it whether its legal or not. the question is would you rather police and DEA spending time on arresting innocent smokers or would you rather them use that time and money to protect us against real crimes and terror? would you rather all these billions of dollars to go to the Cartel or would you rather have those billions of dollars go to your country and for us and our children to have better lives??
@ForceOfWizardry
I hope it will be that cheap. But still probably better quality if home grown. LEGALIZE
I don’t use it to escape, I smoke because I didn’t tonight and I am on youtube at 2am because I cant sleep. LEGALIZE
lol skyding8962, why don’t you go and brew yourself a beer and grow yourself a cigarette, then ill go to the shop and sort myself out and then we can chill. And just because people used to burn “witches” doesn’t mean it should still happen today. Ridiculous laws that infringe on basic human rights should be removed
@ForceOfWizardry
Your talking years down the road. First off it takes years for crops to be created and wholesaled to stores at a large enough scale. Second off the sale of marijuana will still be illegal at a federal level regarldess of what obama says since the DEA has their own will. So retailers will be cautious about saling it. Hell the feds and even the cities are cracking down at shops selling medical marijuana and thats been legal in california for 10 years.
@skyding8962 Get real? Why would the common man grow marijuana, when it will be so goddamn cheap at the local liquor store? $1-2 a gram, average. $20 an ounce average. Only an idiot would grow MJ at home thinking they’ll be saving money.
Your statement of a lot of people growing MJ at home is “unrealistic.” Growers will probably STOP growing marijuana at home because it’s so damn cheap at the store.
Do you see people growing tobacco in their yards for a cheap, homegrown cigarette? NO!
@ForceOfWizardry
What I mean is that would make it harder to ban than marijuana.
As for tax revenue that is a joke. People will be allowed to grow it in their backyard. No one is going to buy it at the store and get taxed when they can practically get it for free from their backyard or their neighbor. And the only tourism that will happen is a bunch of broke potheads and drug dealers wanting to send the drugs to other states. GET REAL.
@skyding8962 Socially acceptable? Umm…. that’s not the reason why alcohol was legalized. Marijuana can be made into teas, drinks, candies, baked goods, clothing, food etc, but that’s not the reason why marijuana is being legalized.
The legalization of marijuana is to bring in tax revenue, tourism, and cut costs of marijuana crimes in the state Of California. I see more positives than negatives here, and 60% of Californians agree with me.
@ForceOfWizardry
The difference is alchohol is more socially acceptable so its pretty hard to regulate. But I would like alcohol banned too.
@skyding8962 and im pretty sure some guy said the same thing as you, when they were voting on the legalization of Alcohol.
ill make sure im not suck in a whole with no way out. if marijuana is my rope. im’a pull myself up. SO EAT ME – Message brought to you by a Canuck
skydling if you where to go back yrs your younger free self would kick you in the ass for keeping me a father of a 3 year old in a jail sell away from my child for something that is less harmfull then what im allowed to buy. Yes i use it i will either way. my anti drepression problem is crazy. been taking them for 10 yrs. they where supp to work in 2 yrs. failed. Marijuana brings me back to earth. rather then the h0le i was living in. will is thats my charge. Jail me. soon as im back out.
I agree, keep less stoners out of prison and jail!!!
lol you hold that camrea like your blasted …lol
Before you vote NO on legalizing it, think: by a vote of YES, we can: 1. bring in millions of desperately needed tax dollars from legalizing it, 2. we will free up dwindling police resources (no longer will your local PD have to go out and run stings), 3. the Mexican drug cartels will no longer run the market, 4. by legalizing it, we will free up space in our over crowded jails; as over half of the prison population is there due to drug related charges. Vote YES and legalize marijuana in CA.
i think its a great idea VOTE!! Legalize
What kills more people marijuana or alcohol?
Which causes more health problems marijuana or tobacco?
i don’t get why it isn’t legal tobacco is worse then marijuana i think it should be legalized worldwide
@uspimpclub
yeah it will bring a buch of stoners and teens and drug pushers who will be trying to sale them to other states. We don’t need them in california, we got enough problems with what we already have.
Its bad because its very easy to use and get on the road and drive high. Its also very easy to pass to kids and use without anyone knowing. It also lowers your mental capacity and makes you a vegetable and eat a lot. Thats not the society I want to encourage.
