Washington DCIn 2010 was the inaugural year that medicinal cannabis and possession of a medical marijuana card became legal in the District of Columbia. The bill soared through the DC’s legislative body by a a landslide vote of 13-0 margin. The possessionlimit in Washington DC is 2 oz. dried,with other limits to be determined. It has not been ,as of today put into law that Washington DC will recognize the jurisdiction of another state’s medical marijuana cards. So as of August 2010that is not accepted.HawaiiIn the year 2000 it was the initial year that medicinal weed and cultivation of a medicinal marijuana card became legal in the state of Hawaii. The measure went through the state of Hawaii’s legislation by a vote of thirty-two to eighteen approval margin in the House and thirteen to twelve in the Hawaiin Senate. The ownershipmaximimum in the state of Hawaii is three ounces usable, seven plants (three mature, 4 immature). It’s not been currently put into law that Hawaii will acknowledge another state’s medical marijuana cards. So as of now that is not accepted.New Jersey2010 was the inaugural year that medicinal marijuana and consumption of a medicinal marijuana card became legal in New Jersey. The piece of legislation soared through the New Jersey state legislative body by a 48-14 approval margin in the New Jersey House and 25-13 in the New Jersey Senate. The ownership limit in the state of New Jersey is two ounces usable.. It’s not been currently inacted into law whether New Jersey will accept another state’s medical marijuana cards. New MexicoIn the year 2007 it was the initial year that medicinal marijuana and cultivation of a medicinal marijuana card became legal in NM. The piece of legislation soared through the New Mexico state legislative body by a thirty-six to thirty-one House vote and Senate vote of thirty-two to three vote. The ownership restriction in New Mexico is sixteen plants, 4 mature, and 12 immature. It has not been currently put into law that the state of New Mexico will allow the use of other state’s medical marijuana cards. So as of the time of this writing that is not accepted.OregonIn 1998 was the inaugural year that medicinal cannabis and possession of a medicinal marijuana card became legal in Oregon. The measure made it through the state of Oregon’s state government by a narrow but majority 55% margin. The ownership max in the state of Oregon is twenty-four ounces usable, twenty-four plants, 6 mature and eighteen immature. It has not been currently put into law that the state of Oregon will acknowledge any other state’s medical marijuana cards. So as of August 2010 that is not accepted.Rhode IslandIn the year 2006 it was the very first year that medicinal cannabis and cultivation of a medicinal marijuana card was legalized in RI.
